Hey! I’m Michael. I’m the managing principal of Conurban. I’ve spent almost 20 years in banking and real estate lending - funding hundreds of millions of dollars over all types of real estate assets.

My journey began out of The Ohio State University in 2002.  My first few real estate gigs were originating residential mortgages.   Boy was it a boom-and-bust business, and I saw it all!  In 2009, during tough economic times, I joined the capital markets team at a national commercial mortgage brokerage shop.  There I learned the business of commercial mortgage debt.  This is a key skill that I bring to Conurban today. In 2012 I started working at a regional bank as a managing director originating Fannie and Freddie loans for institutional apartment owners. Here I learned the idiosyncrasies of the organizational structures of institutional owners.

Fast forward to 2019, I left banking to focus full time on Conurban and multifamily investments.

I’m a businessman, a family man, and a self-proclaimed iron chef.  I have a lovely wife, her name is Orit and we have beautiful 6-year-old twins.  I enjoy getting down, getting down to business, and being outdoors hiking and camping. It’s important to have a balance between work and life - otherwise, what’s it all for?
